The Google Chrome web browser is one of the latest Internet services offered by Google. The browser started off in beta stage for the Windows platform in 2008 with products for other platforms being developed thereafter. The aim here was to produce a truly modern web browser that would be simple to use but that harnessed the power of the web quickly and efficiently.
Google built Google Chrome to offer a new alternative to browsers. They basically took all of their Internet browsing knowledge and set out to build a solution that went back to basics and yet that could handle today’s web users’ needs by using state of the art technology in its build. Google Chrome is built using the Chromium Open Source project and aims to offers its users security, speed of use and stability.
Options on offer with Google Chrome include:

- Dynamic tabs that allow you to manipulate pages you are using across your screen.
- Crash control that makes sure that all your windows aren’t affected if one window hangs or crashes.
- Private browsing options.
- A download option that appears at the bottom of your screen.
