Google Images

Google Images, also known as Google Image Search, is a search tool offered by Google that is dedicated to helping web browsers find images via a web based search engine. This system works in much the same way as a standard Google search. The main difference here is that the search word/term that you enter will give you a range of images as a result rather than web pages as is usual.
When you do an image search here you will be presented with a variety of options. You can, for example, set the size of the images that you are searching for (i.e. either Any Size, Extra Large, Large, Medium, Small). You are also able to choose the type of image that comes up in your search. Options here include:
- Any type
- News
- Face
- Clip Art
- Line Drawings
- Photo
The search engine here also allows you to use colour as a search modifier. So, for example, you could search on any size of image for photos that are purple under a general search term of flowers. This will bring up a page of results of photos of all sizes of flowers that are purple.
