The Google Tool Bar is a free to download application offered by Google. It was designed to help users to get easier and quicker access to a range of actions that they might regularly do whilst they are online. The toolbar here, once downloaded, will simply sit at the top of your computer screen page ready to be used.
One of the big advantages to using the Google Tool Bar is that it allows you to do regular stuff from your browser window without having to open lots of new pages. So, for example, it comes with a built in search box and a full range of website bookmarking and history functions.
You can also set up a range of other features on the Google Tool Bar. You may, for example, find the translation, form autofill or spellcheck tools useful to have easy access to. You can also use the toolbar to help you surf securely -- it comes with a popup blocker add-on. There are also a variety of ways that you can customise your own toolbar here to make the most of the options on offer.
One of the most commonly used additional features here is the PageRank analysis function. This allows a user to see a snapshot of the PageRank of any website that they are looking at.
