Management Strategy

View future Management Training Courses

Becoming a manager isn’t just a question of being able to manage teams and individual people. As you progress up the management ranks in any company you are likely to become involved in more strategic business issues such as business planning, for example. More senior managers are responsible for looking at the business as a whole and making the necessary decisions to make sure that it operates to optimum success.

A lot of people promoted into management positions may never have had to think about this big strategic picture before. Their management roles up to this point may have been focused on more tactical issues such as project and program delivery, assessment and measurement. Up to a certain point in their career they may have been told what has happening but, if they progress up the career ladder, they may be expected to decide what will happen. At this stage, therefore, some management strategy training might be useful to boost these skills.

This kind of training can be given as part of a general management course or as a separate focused training program. It can be given by external trainers or in-house. The aim of management strategy training is simply to empower a manager, at any level, with the ability to work on business strategy both in general company terms and as it relates to specific projects and initiatives.
